The Record is Incomplete
My name is Ash Thandril, Archivist of the Fourth Circle.
For thirty years, I have walked the lightless corridors of the Highfall Archives, translating the resonance of stone and the whispers of the dead. My task was meant to be a simple one: catalogue the history of the World-Scar and ensure the names of those who broke the world were never forgotten. What began as a penance for the sin of my name has instead led me to a truth that will exonerate my kin—and unmask the architects of the lies that have endured for centuries.
But the Archives are not just a place of memory. They are a place of silence. And as I delved into the runic plates of the Sunken Citadel, I realized that the silence was a lie.
The Truth of the Adamant Seal
The world was told that the Adamant Seal—and the brothers Volundir and Kael—were traitors. We were taught that their failure birthed the corruption that now poisons our soil.
The plates tell a different story. They speak of a betrayal not committed by the brothers, but against them.
Why I am releasing these records
To speak these truths within the Highfall walls is heresy. To write them is a death sentence. But the Fourth Circle is no longer enough to contain what I have found.
I am releasing these restored records—these fragments of a history forged in mud and magic—because the truth is a debt we owe to the fallen. Whether they were heroes or monsters is for you to decide. But you will finally know their names.
The snippets you find here are but echoes of the first compilation of my efforts. While the full, restored account of the Thandril brothers will take time to bring to light (titled The Adamant Seal Archive), the first collection The Weight of our Father's Sins is now available for those that wish to learn the truth.
The silence is listening. Do not let it have the last word.
